The dating scene in Ghana now, especially in the capital city, has become more expensive for men since bar prices have risen, and you have to do more to convince your partner that you love them.
In a recent interview with Zionfelix, Ghanaian highlife sensation Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, better known as Amerado, opened up on why he gave up on chasing women, especially after reaching his thirties.
According to the ‘Kweku Ananse’ hitmaker, who has experienced hanging out with many women before his thirties, he feels it’s now time to adjust his focal lenses on his girlfriend, especially now that he is based in Accra from Kumasi and wants to be more successful.
“I’m in Accra now, and dating is expensive. Not that I don’t like to give, but I feel it’s about time I closed doors to things that wouldn’t be beneficial to my life. I’ve now programmed myself not to be attracted to women so that I can focus on more projects,” Amerado told Zion.
